JEE - Joint Entrance Examination

 

To get admission in the premier institutes of the country students have to clear the JEE-Exam. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an All India Common Engineering Entrance Examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. In 2012 the government run CBSE that earlier conducted the AIEEE, announced this common examination that replaced the AIEEE with IIT-JEE which consists of two parts JEE main & JEE Advanced.

Eligibility

10+2 (H.S.C) Appearing or passed out.
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Following Chemistry Technical / Vocational subjects.
For getting admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, Minimum 75% marks in 12th Board is Required (including five subjects).

Only the students selected in JEE main are eligible for appearing in JEE advanced. Over 2,20,000 students are selected each year.

Three (03) attempts in the consecutive years after appearing XII – Board.

Two (02) attempts in the consecutive year after appearing XII – Board.

NEET - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(UG)

 

NEET (UG) is an Entrance Test Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E), for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses in India in Medical / Dental Colleges regulated with the approval of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India under the union Ministry of Health and family welfare, or Government of India except for the Institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS & JIPMER Puducherry.The Counselling for successful Candidates under 15% All India quota seat is conducted by the DGHS. The Counselling for admission in seats under the control of other states / Universities / Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the concerned Authorities.

Eligibility

  1. He / She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year.
  2. Nationality Indian , (iii) Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 years for OBC / SC / ST Category.
  3. Minimum of 50% in Phy / Chem / Bio / Biotechnology in XII Board 45% - General P.H.,40% - OBC / SC / ST,40 %, OBC - PH / SC- PH / ST-PH.
